Charmd (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our services. Each category is collected for specific, limited purposes and handled under strict privacy controls:
User-Provided Information
- Dating profiles you upload (your own or third-party profiles).
- Screenshots of conversations or chats uploaded for reply suggestions.
- Photos or images of yourself for profile analysis and AI likeness generation.
- Account information such as email address, username, or payment information (if applicable).
- Messages, reports, and feedback you submit.
Automatically Collected Information
- Device information (model, operating system, browser type).
- Log data such as IP address, access times, and usage activity.
- Cookies and similar technologies.
AI Likeness Data
- Photos you upload to generate likeness-based images.
- AI-generated likeness images derived from your photos.
- Metadata related to image processing.
We do not collect or create biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, 3D facial scans, depth data, or any information used to identify or authenticate you.
Why We Collect and Store Face Photos
- Generate the likeness-based image you request using our third-party AI provider.
- Allow you to view, access, and manage your uploaded photos within your account.
We do not use face data for identification, verification, advertising, analytics, training AI models, or any unrelated purpose.
How Long Face Photos Are Stored
Your uploaded face photos remain stored only while they stay in your account. You may delete your photos at any time, and they are permanently removed from our servers.
If you delete your account, all face photos and AI-generated likeness images associated with your account are permanently deleted with no retained copies.
We do not retain face data indefinitely. Photos are stored only for as long as you choose to keep them so you can access and manage them within the app.
Third Parties & Storage
Face photos are shared only with our third-party AI image-generation provider for the sole purpose of producing your likeness-based image. We do not sell, rent, or disclose face photos to advertisers, analytics companies, data brokers, or any additional third parties.
Sharing is required so the provider can process the image and generate the likeness you requested. Face photos are not shared for any additional use, and the provider does not retain your photos after processing.
Before deletion, your face photos are stored in Firebase Storage under strict authentication rules. Only your authenticated account can access your own photos.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the App.
- Analyze dating profiles and generate suggestions.
- Generate opener lines, replies, or feedback on profiles.
- Generate likeness-based images using third-party AI technology.
- Improve and personalize our services.
- Monitor for misuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Communicate with you (support, updates, policy changes).
- Comply with legal obligations.
We may share your information:
- With third-party AI providers who process images and text to generate likeness-based content.
- With service providers who assist with hosting, analytics, and customer support.
- If required by law or legal process.
- To protect the safety, rights, or property of Echelon Digital Inc., our users, or others.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to upload content, including third-party profiles and screenshots.
- You must not upload content that violates another person’s rights, including privacy, publicity, or likeness.
- We are not liable for disputes arising from unauthorized uploads.
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
Your information may be transferred and processed outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to these transfers subject to applicable law.

The App may contain links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
